WZ4SC, 145.110-, T110.9 --- The Sugar Creek Amateur Radio Society is based in Fort Mill, SC and provides
emergency communications for York and Lancaster counties. The club is registered with the local chapter of the Red
Cross in Lancaster county and provides SKYWARN in the event of inclement weather.
The club currently has about 45 members and is always happy to welcome visitors and new members.
They meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30pm at the Leory Springs Recreational Complex on
Tom Hall Street in Fort Mill, SC.
The club offers VE testing on the third Saturday of every other month as follows:
February, April, June, August, October and December. Test sessions begin at 9:00am.
The club has three repeaters on 145.110, 224.800 and 443.475MHz. The antennas are one dual band
(2 meter/440) and one 220 MHz on top of a 190 foot water tank located in the Indian Land community
about 5 miles east of Fort Mill, SC. Anyone is welcome to use these repeaters and to check into
the Rag Chew and Friendship Nets on Sunday evenings at 9:00pm.
